"Wherever there is life there is movement" Tim Ingold
Sound is not just that which is audible to man but is also the inaudible which exists as vibrating motions around and through and beyond our world.
The movement and pulses of so many living and dying beings.
If life itself is sound , every material , non human, animal insect , plant, micro organism, sea, air, rock..........long after it dies leaves a trace a trail of sound , a residue, a memory of its existence.
Guided by studies in feminist ecology, anthropology , posthumanism, ethnomusicology ,environmental science, kinematics, history , music, sound therapy , plant bioacoustics and indigenous cosmologies through this "meshwork" of thought I try to find better ways of being and connecting in the world .
" Upon learning that man's spirit is with the bees, people start to ask him for the songs which he teaches them. He can only teach bee songs because he only knows the bee language" (A Seeger, 2013)
